Google has a secret iOS app to help you switch to Android

According to 9to5Google, Google has secretly created free iOS software to allow you seamlessly transfer data from an iPhone to an Android device. The Switch To Android software operates wirelessly, so you won’t need to connect the two phones with a connection.

According to the software’s description on the App Store, “the Switch to Android app from Google allows you swiftly and securely transport your most critical data kinds – images, movies, contacts, and calendar events — to a brand new Android smartphone without finicky wires.

Messages aren’t included in that list, so it looks like the program won’t be able to transfer them, however, it will take you through how to switch off iMessage so “you don’t miss text messages from friends and family.”

9to5 This appears to be an unlisted software, according to Google, since I can’t locate it while browsing the App Store on my iPhone. However, you may have it right now by clicking on this direct link. Google did not react quickly to a request for information on when the app may be formally launched on the App Store.
